In 2018 we had 25 churches participating across Southern Chester County! We're so excited to see the network of churches continue to grow - the more churches that unite for GSR, the bigger the impact we’re able to have! Check out the video below to see what we did during GSR 2018:

#2 - NOTA DE GRATITUD

This season, we were excited to introduce a new element to the GSR project! The mission of this element is to bless those who serve the children of our community in local schools. We collected the names of faculty and staff from  area school districts and distributed a portion of them to each congregation along with envelopes and note cards. We were then able to gift each of the men and women on that list with a personal note of gratitude and encouragement.

#3 - DONACIÓN FINANCIERO

In 2018, our financial collection went to a program called Getting Ahead, a 16-week workshop empowering those in poverty to build resources for themselves and their communities.

Getting Ahead is part of a local effort called the Southern Chester County Opportunity Network a community-wide approach to alleviating poverty that focuses on collaboration and long-term change on a personal and community level. To find out more, watch our video on Getting Ahead and how it fits into the mission of GSR!
